One of the most memorable views in John Wick: Chapter 2 was filmed high above Piazza Venezia , with John Wick standing opposite Rome’s monumental Vittoriano , also known as the Altare della Patria. The rooftop belongs to the Palazzo delle Assicurazioni Generali , a historic building occupying the eastern side of the square. Its elevated terrace gave the film a dramatic view over central Rome and became part of the movie’s stylish Roman chapter. About the place The neo-Renaissance palace was constructed in the early 20th century and designed to visually balance the much older Palazzo Venezia across the square. From its rooftop, the Vittoriano dominates the view directly opposite. Visitor tip The rooftop used for filming is not a regular public observation deck . You can photograph the building from Piazza Venezia, then visit the public panoramic terrace of the Vittoriano for elevated views of the palace and central Rome. Access to the Vittoriano terrace is through the monument’s main Piazza Venezia entrance.
